Salary Range:$58,000.00 To 65,000.00 Annually

The Dual Catering SMERF Sales Manager is responsible for attainment
of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The
individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and
securing new accounts. The Sales Manager will work in conjunction
with the Dual Director of Sales to achieve the hotel's revenue and
market share goals for one or more properties. The focus of this
position is to exceed catering goals and increase SMERF group
business for the hotel(s).

Job Functions:
-Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to
Leisure SMERF Business Travel (BT) and/or SMERF Groups as
applicable by property for the Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden
Inn. Develop and uncover new business related to the SMERF
segment.
-Create and implement hotel-level tactical sales plans that drive
measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase
SMERF group room volume, increase meeting room sales, and enhance
the image of the hotel in the local community.
-Solicit, book, plan and coordinate meetings/functions while
maximizing the banquet space to meet/exceed sales goals.
-Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication
and coordination with other departments.
-Maintain a documented record of all solicitation action steps in
sales tracking system.
-Clearly outline client's room block requirements, meeting, and
banquet space requirements so that the accurate facilities may be
reserved.
-Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and
review competition.
-Creates customer correspondence as required - sales agreements,
proposals, and follow up thank you letters.
-Conducts hotel tours and plan special events for potential
customers when necessary.
-Creatively implement on-property networking events to showcase
food and beverage.
-Takes over the responsibilities of the sales office in the absence
of the Director of Sales.
