motion. Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Motor and Crane, has an
opening for a Mechanical Engineer. The role of the Mechanical
Engineer is review of product specifications and design creation.
The Engineer produces rendered models and detailed drawings for
fabrication. Estimating, quoting, customer communication, and
project management are essential in this role. This position
reports into the Engineering Manager. Essential
Responsibilities
- Review and adherence to project specifications
- Design, detail, and release drawings for production
- Receive customer RFPs; estimate and compose formal quotations
for project sales
- Follow up on proposals and document outcome in CRM
- Create product data submittals for customer approval
- Coordinate installation requirements with customers and
vendors
- Aid in the development and management of QMS
- Order and track material for design projects
- Manage the procurement and material profitability of projects
once sold
- Create operations manuals for completed projects
- Communicate with customers
- Visit job sites as required for sales, service, and/or job
specific support Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering required
- Two (2) years of experience working as a mechanical,
electrical, or structural design engineer required, five (5)
preferred
- CAD drawing and modeling experience
- Mechanical design experience
- Structural design experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical fundamentals
- Ability to interpret and apply design codes
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS 365/Office Suite
and Acrobat required, Epicor preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD or Solidworks, both preferred
- Experience with MathCAD preferred Key Attributes
- Multi-task, identify priorities, meet deadlines

- Excellent organizational skills
- Customer service oriented
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication
skills, in person, and on the telephone
- Work efficiently alone, as well as collaboratively within a
team
- Interact professionally with all levels of customers,
suppliers, and internal support teams
- Technical knowledge and mechanical and electrical aptitude The
yearly compensation for this role is $71,000 - $98,000, is
commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or
less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to
participate in the company's short-term incentive program, paid
time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including
