Gogo Broomfield, CO Full Time Manufacturing & Production EngineeringOverview The Gogo Business Aviation Jr. Manufacturing Electrical Engineer role focuses on supporting the successful integration of design engineering outputs into manufacturing from a test process perspective. This role owns test process of New Product Introduction (NPI) deliverables for Operations Engineering during new development projects, support activities during pilot & production lifecycle phases through end-of-life. Co-responsible for test process related deliverables for new product development projects; this includes DFx input during design reviews, as well as prototype and production tooling (tester capability and test fixturing) required for prototype builds and PFMEACreate test equipment Bill-of-Materials and Manufacturing Test Process documentation for both initial prototype and production builds and maintain them throughout lifecycle of the product as new revisions are releasedContribute to the creation of and maintaining of manufacturing test process related Work Instructions for use by Gogo production personnel, as well as external Contract Manufacturing vendorsHelp bring-up of products at Gogo and Contract Manufacturers after initial product release, as well as ongoing monitoring of test process yields, capabilities and issue resolutionCollaborate with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Supplier Quality/Failure on product troubleshooting product failures to find root causePartner with the manufacturing NPI test engineers and test software engineers to define and execute plans for test process/ software code validation, including measurement systems analysis (MSA)Train and transition the product test knowledge and test sets, as applicable, to the FAA Certified Repair StationActive participant in the Cross Functional Team responsible for non-conformance and Corrective Action resolutionParticipate in ISO 9001/AS9100 audits and internal audits Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work1-2 years' work experience in an engineering role in manufacturing and testing of electrical , or electromechanical products (internship experience counts!) Ability to travel up to -10% (domestic and international) Required Skills, Experience and Talents Knowledge of test process design and manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies , including handling and assembly of electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD) Experience with tester use and qualificationParticipate in the establishment of process yield & capability targets, PFMEA, data analysis, MSA (Gage R&R, Correlation, Cpk) requirements; MiniTab or equivalent experienceSolid failure analysis troubleshooting and data analytic skillsAbility to quickly learn and develop new processesEffective written and verbal communication skillsTeam friendly, and approachable with a sense of humor! Preferred Skills, Experience and Talents Working knowledge of multiple SW languages/platforms (C#, LabView, Python, database creation/management)Navision, SAP, Oracle or equivalent ERP software and related process knowledgeSix Sigma/Lean Sigma DMAIC familiarityExperience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 based Quality Management SystemFamiliarity with Agile PLM for data documentation in Problem Reports, Corrective ActionRequest, Engineering Change Requests experienceCapable of offloading and supporting external Contract ManufacturersExperience with tester use design, sourcing and qualification, with an emphasis on project planning/reporting and SW revision control & release processesCan generate failure reports and provide recommended corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of problems PM21 Equal Pay Disclosure(s) Colorado Equal Pay Statement: Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role to be located in the state of Colorado.
