Overview:
-
Responsible for the manufacturing of Windows Fashions products to
be produced in accordance with applicable quality and operational
standards. - Interacts on a continuous basis with all employees and
works with management to establish achievable team objectives.
Maintains employee relations on a daily basis with creative problem
solving and conflict resolution techniques.
What you'll do?
- Facilitate tier meetings utilizing Lean Management/Production
principles to provide continuous interaction on a daily basis with
all team members, and to assist them in achieving defined
objectives and goals for production and product quality. -
Communicate departmental and organizational news as needed, along
with individual and/or team recognition.

- Participates in discussions with multiple levels of leadership
to identify team objectives and goals, and consistently reviews the
progress toward those goals. Identifies areas of concern that
contribute to deficiencies and takes necessary steps for corrective
action.

- Ensures positive shift to shift communication within the
department, as well as other functional groups including Warehouse,
Quality Assurance, Fabrication, Materials/Purchasing,
Engineering/Maintenance, etc---

- Prepares team member work schedules and operator assignments on
a daily and/or weekly basis. - Makes adjustments to schedules and
assignments to ensure proper staffing levels are in place to
accomplish shift production goals. - Monitors production schedules
and backorders daily and effectively communicates priorities to the
team. -

- Monitors the inventory of materials available to meet
manufacturing goals set for the shift. Orders and restocks
materials for Machine Operators.

- Compiles on a shift basis, all information related to employee
work hours, productivity, and quality as needed for general
reporting purposes. Maintains written logs and/or computer
databases accordingly.

- Utilizes Kaizen, SAP, Excel, and Google Docs to assist
management in collecting data and/or samples to analyze trends in
productivity, quality, safety, etc---in order to capture root cause
issues. - Maintains consistent participation on DMAIC, Rapid
Response and Kaizen event teams as needed and assists in
facilitating implementation of action items.

- Works with MPC's for scheduling of employee training
requirements and determines operator certification readiness. -
Ensures employees maintain a good understanding of achieved level
expectations and career development path. -

- Performs/monitors Standard Work, Safety, and PEP audits daily
and per work instructions, and assigns corrective actions needed to
address discrepancies. - Communicates to MPC required updates to
operational/ISO documentation as needed. -

- Assists team members to troubleshoot basic equipment
malfunctions, and ensure adequate tools/supplies are provided and
available for use as needed throughout the day.
Who you are?
- Acceptable training and experience includes a high school
diploma or equivalent. -
- At least two years experience in all phases of the
manufacturing processes. Certification on all equipment and work
processes within manufacturing. Additional course work in the use
of a computer and software packages, in addition to leadership
training, and principles of motivation techniques.
- Expert knowledge of interpersonal skills and be able to apply
principles to a manufacturing environment.
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective work
relationships with manufacturing personnel and personnel from other
departments such as Engineering and Purchasing.
- Skill in the use of basic hand tools to perform minor repairs
and adjustments to manufacturing equipment.
- Skill in the use of computer and software packages.
- Ability to use creative problem solving to resolve daily
mechanical equipment malfunctions or employee relations
issues.
- Ability to develop leadership skills and decision-making skills
within Team Members in the performance of their duties.
- Ability to foster teamwork attitude in team members through
demonstrated actions.

- Hourly Wage Range: $23.50- $36.45 -
- Bonus target range: 2.5%
