The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting the supply chain processes for Fabrication Planning to maximize productivity, maintain production schedules and the flow of materials through the plant to meet customer needs. Additional responsibilities include managing the daily reporting process, root cause analysis and providing daily feedback on material shortages. - The Supply Chain Specialist needs to be highly organized and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of function areas is critical. One of the key outputs of this role is a high on time delivery to original ship date for customer orders.
What you'll do?

• 
  
• Responsible for daily interaction with materials planning team to solve material shortage issues
  
• Responsible for running daily reporting to identify gaps and material needs
  
• Responsible for analyzing inventory to identify opportunities for increases or decreases in inventory levels
  
• Responsible for facilitating process for identification of on time delivery miss root causes
  
• Manages data for Material Review Board process
  
• Responsible for on time delivery metrics
  
• Proficient in SAP, MII & Excel
  
• Develops standard work documents for release, reporting and root cause analysis process
  
• Can achieve results through influencing
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  Who you are?
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations
    
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands on experience in planning and supply chain functions -
    
  • Demonstrated experience tools such as SAP or other ERP systems
    
  • Expert in SAP
    
  • Exceptional computer skills; ERP, Business Intelligence systems or equivalent and Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    
  • Good understanding of inventory movements and accuracy
    
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate across multiple departments and through multiple levels of the organization
    
  • Solid analytical skills in root cause analysis
    
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiating and conflict management skills
    
  • Excellent collaborative management skills
    
  • Strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, customer service, supplier and asset management
    
  • Strong passion for creating process and systems improvement
