Sierra Space is seeking an innovative, creative and fast-paced HR leader to be our company's next Head of Total Rewards. As a senior member of the HR Leadership Team, this individual will be responsible for designing and building cutting-edge compensation and benefits programs to support the attraction and retention of our world-class team, with a sharp focus on our engineering and manufacturing talent.

As the leader of Total Rewards, this role will drive the overall strategies and processes for benefits design and delivery; compensation strategy; incentive design; compensation administration and management; executive compensation; and equity design and administration.

Collaboration and influence are key as this leader will need to work across the HR organization and with the business leaders, CPO and CEO directly as a partner in growing and shaping the workforce of the future.

Reports directly to the Chief People Officer with a 5-6 person team.Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.   • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field of Study
  • Demonstrated expertise in Total Rewards administration in one or more of the following areas: compensation, benefits/wellness, HRIS
  • Deep understanding of and experience in a fast-growing enterprise with multi-site operations including;
  • Successfully driving Total Rewards activities and goals in support of continuous growth and advancement; and
  • A proven ability to lead multiple teams as a strategic and tactical resource in coordinating department initiatives, programs, procedures, and policies; and
  • Building scalable Total Rewards programs capable of growing with the organization
  • Thorough knowledge of and direct experience with development of competitive compensation and benefits programs, initiatives and best practices for merit and incentive pay administration/ planning, salary structure maintenance, salary survey participation, job description review, job pricing, job evaluation, benefits package review and renewal, wellness/wellbeing and health, and employee incentives and awards
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and manage department budgets
  • Proven ability to add value and increase organizational effectiveness, efficiency and profitability through the alignment of human assets to contain costs and improve financial performance
  • Excellent acumen for assessing Total Rewards initiatives utilizing data analytics and metrics to drive progress and measure results
  • Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge and expertise in executive compensation strategies
  • Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Proven experience and skills in team building, conflict resolution, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to varying audiences
  • Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions Preferred:
    • Typically 10-15 years of relevant Leadership experience; 8+ years demonstrated experience in Human Resources compliance, particularly Workday
    • Skills in assessing external competition by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations
    • Possess leadership acumen to perform as a true strategic partner to top company executives; ability to establish presence and demeanor to interface and work collaboratively with leaders and skill to make significant contributions on key leadership committees
    • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration
    • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
