Stellar Care and Services is hiring for DSP/ Mentors for our Day Program in the Denver Metro Area.Job purpose: DSP/Mentors assist and support adults with developmental disabilities in the community as they participate in activities, learn new life skills as well as assist participants to reach their personal goals.Essential job duties: DSP/Mentors provide transportation to and from activities and ensure safety within the community. DSP/Mentors provide companionship and support during day program hours, teach and assist participants with life skills and provide assistance to participants in self care and personal care as needed. DSP/Mentors assist participants in working toward their personal goals.Job types: Full time positions are availableSchedule: This position is 4 days a week with typical hours being 8am to 4pm. No weekend hours.Compensation: $16.25-$18.50 with mileage reimbursementApplicants Must:Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalentHave a valid driver's licenseHave a safe and reliable vehicleBe willing to transport participates in your personal vehicleCarry appropriate vehicle insuranceBe able to work independently and in cooperation with othersBe able to lift and transfer 50-75 lbs.1 year working or advocating for individuals with disabilities is preferred but not requiredBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceCompany-Paid Life InsurancePaid time offMajor holidays off with pay401K Matching up to 3% after 12 months of employmentRequired trainings provided by Stellar Care and Services
