Job Description Aktiv Pharma Group is hiring for a Analytical Organic Chemist. We are a fast-growing company focused on addressing unmet medical needs through a proprietary drug delivery system. The Analytical Scientist will be a member of the Analytical Development core program in the role of developing analytical testing methods, planning of experiments, developing standard operating procedures, analyzing, and presenting scientific data to make decisions, implementing CMC strategies. The compensation range for the Analytical Organic Chemist is $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Aktiv Pharma Group offers a wealth of benefits to our employees and their families. Work with the Analytical Development manager to devise experiment, analyze and interpret data, and generate reports to inform decisions across departments. Ownership: DOE to assess drug formulation compatibility and stability Data analysis and presentations SME on analytical laboratory equipment and techniques Generation of CMC related documents and SOPs Additional duties as needed Management of CMOs projects and proposals Assist CMC leadership: To develop plans and oversee execution for programs from early phase through commercial manufacturing Activities related to regulatory filings Technical reports CMC related plans, SOPs and other controlled documents as requested Job Qualifications Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of Aktiv Pharma Group---s mission, vision, and values. Superior written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong knowledge of team dynamics, structure, roles, and responsibilities Excellent ability to embrace ambiguity and complexity and demonstrate problem solving leadership with limited oversight; ability to translate complex concepts into actionable, measurable tasks Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing environments Demonstrated ability to manage and lead others through change Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and key project decisions without authority Ability to work both independently and in a team focused environment Education or Formal Training : Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Master---s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline preferred. Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience within Analytical Development or Formulation Development function in a pharmaceutical environment An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis. Preferred Experience: Hands on experience on HPLC analysis, and other GMP analytical techniques Experience developing drug Formulations, including freeze dry formulations.
