The Senior Industrial Designer will be responsible for researching
and understanding market trends for all product categories and
responding appropriately. The Senior Designer will also lead and
develop content, creative design concepts and solutions that
address specific product requirements. This position should drive
innovation in design by understanding and identifying trends in the
outdoor industry, gaps in product categories and product solutions
for these gaps. Thorough knowledge in soft and hardgoods
manufacturing, color, materials, finishes, and understanding of a
products life cycle are key. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Market and Trend Analysis (Research market and
product categories, for both trends and gaps.)Supports in leading
product design (Conceptualize products based on brand, aesthetics,
function, trends, retail price/cost goals, and key stakeholder &
buyer directives.)Responsible for visual presentation. This role
will communicate product concepts and ideas through product
renderings, sketches and illustrations.)Conducts color and print
trend research, pattern and print design, color-ups and material
lab dip review, ensuring the brand color and pattern
integrity.Assist in the design and development of product by
creating design specs to add to production tech packs for overseas
and domestic manufacturing.Product development which includes
sample reviews, testing and spec revisions. Leads the communication
with global factory partners and material suppliers.Conducts BOM
analysis, Cost engineering and Material selection based on product
brief to ensure business goal objectives are reflected within the
finished design.Supports production preparation by ensuring
informational accuracy on all product.Ensures that product designs
meet all safety standards and requirements, verifying this with
Compliance if in question. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLSBachelor's degree
in Industrial Design, Engineering or related field. At least 5
years working in a Designer I and Designer ll role.Experience in
Softgoods design and development. (Sewing and patterning experience
preferred).Must have a deep understanding of the overall product
design process. Demonstrated ability to use the essential design
tools to communicate design concepts and functionality. Strong
leadership skills to facilitate constructive conversations, manage
projects and timelines and mentor junior level designers.Deep
understanding of sales channels and retailer market position by
brand, and category.Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop, MS Office.Robust understanding of 3-dimensional design
and visualization.Knowledge of cost engineering, materials to
design the price-right product for various market position.Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle very complex
challenges with multiple creative solutions. Strong written and
verbal communication skills, with an ability to create and present
solutions at a management level within the organization.SolidWorks,
Rhino 3D, CAD modeling experience a plus.BUDGET QUALIFICATIONS To
ensure products designed meet the Brand and Product team goals
regarding costs associated with production and materials of

applicable) None WORK ENVIRONMENT A collaborative, open space work
environment located on the second floor of the 40,000 sq. foot
facility located in Broomfield, Colorado. Team members share a
common desk area, as well as a Design Center, inclusive of sewing
machines, pattern tables, color swatches, fabrics is located on the
first floor of the building, in addition to a Design Meeting room
for sketches and designs to be created, discussed, pinned up and
placed for review. The design area is faces west and looks out on
open space and the Flatirons. There are approximately 125 employees
in the 40,000 sq. ft Broomfield corporate facility which houses a
workout facility, multiple quiet telephone booths and a large
employee breakroom for the employee's use. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The
