This is a new role for Concurrent HRO due to significant growth as a company. SummaryThe Benefits Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing day to day support to our benefits department. In addition, this role may provide support to our other HR related departments, owners, assisting the office needs and managing our company's general administrative duties. This role requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality, providing excellent customer service to our clients and has room for growth potential within our company. Essential Functions

  • Answers and tracks communications regarding a variety of general benefits questions (calls, emails, texts, faxes, snail mail, etc.)
  • Write and distribute emailed correspondence, letters, faxes and forms
  • Verifies and updates employee benefit records
  • Assists in the compilation and preparation of data for regularly scheduled and special reports
  • Assists in the audit of group benefit plans for accuracy
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of open enrollment

  • Attention to DetailWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will work both remote and, in an office setting at times. This position will primarily be remote, however, must have the ability to work in the office when needed and asked, specifically during open enrollment months of August - November. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, talk and hear.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of Administrative Assistant and/or benefits experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectivelyPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, including Administration, or Human Resources, a plus
  • Benefits Certification a plus, or ability to obtain within 6 months
