The QCI has the authority for final approval for return to service of aircraft, airframes, aircraft engines, propellers, appliances or component parts within the scope of repair station certification authority to include final return to service for the Repair Station. This position contributes to safety, reliability, and efficiency by assisting the QCM with daily return to service activities, record reviews, internal audits and record-keeping requirements by effectively utilizing processes, procedures, data bases and electronic equipment.Schedule:--Mon- Fri 7am- 3:30pmHourly:--$30.25 - $35.75 - based on experienceEssential Functions:Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, all records are properly executed before final return to service of articles maintained or altered by the repair stationApprove aircraft for return to servicePerform internal records reviews and auditsAdditional Duties Include:Assist QCM in ascertaining that maintenance records are properly maintained for work accomplishedAssist QCM in providing current and adequate inspection forms and ensures proper completionWork cooperatively with the Director of Maintenance, Lead Technicians and Technicians in order to be able to sign the inspection block of a work order discrepancy when the corrective action is completeEnsure that Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment usedAssist in training of newly hired and current TechniciansOther duties as assigned by the QCMKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Current knowledge of CFRs, Airworthiness Directives, Type Certificate Date Sheets (TCDS), Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and Repair Station/Quality Control ManualCurrent knowledge of inspection tools and techniques including visual, borescope, tensiometer and nondestructive testingCurrent knowledge of Mountain Aviation Part 145 capabilities list and the scope of the rating limitations as set forth in the Operations Specifications rating for any article/itemAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize duties based on immediate needEffectively communicate through written turnovers, email, direct messaging and verbally in groupsMinimum Qualifications:Must be a certificated Airframe and Powerplant Technician,--under CFR Part 65 and current3 years experience as a Certified Mechanic on aircraft of similar type that Mountain Aviation Part 145 repair station maintains and/or 3 years experience with a 145-repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return-to-serviceBe able to read, write and understand the English languagePreferred Qualifications:Experience with the inspection programs associated to the types of aircraft on Mountain Aviation Part 145 capabilities listAssociates degree or equivalent trade school formal educationExperience with maintenance tracking data base software applications such as CAMP Systems, Corridor, Cescom, CMP and AvTrakWork Conditions:Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment working indoors and outdoors and at times in inclement weatherMust be available on-call and ability to travel with short noticeLong periods of sedentary activity working at a desk and utilizing a computerAbility to travel for attending aircraft, engine, and equipment trainingAbility to work flexible schedules including nights and weekendsPhysical Requirements:The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsGood vision and depth perceptionAbility to work in a hangar/office environment 40+ hours per weekBenefits:Health, Dental,--Vision, and voluntary Life Insurance--available first of the month following date of hireCompany paid Life, AD&D, STD, LTDAFLAC (optional)FSA/HSA account (optional)401k with company match at 3%PTO accrual that starts immediately upon hireMountain Aviation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
