Job Description:

 

As the Talent & Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for administering, tracking and managing the background and new hire orientation processes and performing general human resource duties with a positive, self-motivated and organized approach while interacting with others.  You will have responsibility for managing background process expectations and confirming new hires for orientation as well as presenting consistent new hire information, talent sourcing as well as other company-wide programs and initiatives as assigned.

 What you will do in this role: 

  • Responsible for background screening of new hires and creating processes as necessary for efficient screening practices to improve time from offer acceptance to new hire orientation
  • Manage background process and expectations of applicants and hiring managers
  • Talent sourcing to include applicant screening as well as provide insight into outbound initiatives to drive interest in Balfour and improve talent pool.  
  • Communicate with new hires and confirm attendance for new hire orientation as well as communicating with hiring managers for expectations of new hires on their first day in the community.
  • Enter new hires into ADP and transfer relevant documents into ADP portal
  • Present new hire orientation weekly
  • Coordinate Balfour guides for each new hire with the community hiring manager
  • Assist new hires with background process and technology issues
  • Manage relationships with background vendors, drug screen facilities, etc.
  • Serve as an ongoing resource for recruiting and background questions.
  • Responsible for ad hoc reporting as requested. 
  • Provide overall support to the HR team.
  • Provide high level of discretion and professionalism while dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

You have: 

  • BS/BA degree in HR or Business Administration or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge 
  • 3 years of HR or related experience required 
  • Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly and succinctly, as well as the ability to influence others 
  • Customer service oriented, self-motivated, responsive individual who can multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment 
  • Works effectively with shifting priorities and under tight deadlines 
  • Some travel (primarily in the Denver area) may be required 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, using discretion and sound judgment.

You might also have:

  • Experience with ADP or other ATS platforms 
  • Experience giving presentations
  • Aptitude with technology and databases 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to?sit/work at a computer for an extended period of time 
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed 
  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens 
  • Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander
