Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager will drive the strategy, development, and execution for our rental ecommerce platform and to play a key role in driving our longer term Retail digital roadmap. In addition, they will maintain and optimize web sites and digital media campaigns including SEM, display, and paid social within the Vail Resort Retail portfolio. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving all digital analytics, built from a variety of data sources including, but not limited to, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Omniture, Exact Target, and Point of Sale data to measure and optimize campaigns on an ongoing basis. The Digital Marketing Manager will have one direct report and will be responsible for their continued growth and development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the digital strategy and execution, in alignment with the retail and rental businesses long term growth roadmap. This includes all brands in the retail and rental portfolio (e.g. Epic Mountain Rentals, Resort Rental pages, Breeze, Any Mountain, Bicycle Village, Epic Mountain Gear, Vail Sports, Gore Creek Fly Fisherman, etc.)
  • Responsible for the evolution of the UX on our current ecommerce rental sites to drive rental KPI's, including site traffic, site conversion, product mix, and AOV
  • Partner with Sr. Brand & GTM Manager and Sr. Product Managers in developing digital media/campaign plans in support of various store groups, campaigns, sale events, and advanced rental business. Provide expertise and also partner with external media agencies in the creation, launch, optimization, and performance reporting of digital campaigns: SEM, display, and paid social
  • Provide ongoing expert guidance to teams on allocation of digital investment based on the goals and objectives for the year and translating that into budget needs
  • Establish digital best practices for retail and rental and share across teams to support broader business impact
  • Develop and execute web content updates to ensure websites are up-to-date with current promotional content, as well as consistent with look-and-feel of brand standards and advertising campaigns
  • Build a best practice around analytics and reporting by developing and monitoring KPls to drive effective decisions and recommendations on how to improve campaign performance, site functionality, and enhance user experience.
  • Provide input on departmental strategies, translate strategies and objectives into actions within digital areas of responsibility
  • Help evolve and optimize internal workflow and processes to increase efficiencies
  • Lead the growth of a direct report by developing core competencies and growth of the team member to fulfill individual potential and fuel company core values and mission.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of digital marketing, including strategy and execution
  • Ecommerce, digital, and social media marketing experience
  • Knowledge in SEO, SEM, Paid Search, and Keyword Analysis
  • Deep experience using modern CMS platforms, including Sitecore
  • Deep experience in digital analytics within breadth of platforms, including Adobe Analytics
  • 3+ years supervisory/team management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Business ownership mentality and logical, fact-based thinker
  • Great collaborator and team builder
  • Great communication skills and ability to give and take open and honest feedback

Preferred:

  • Strong project management skills / experience
  • Budgeting & financial planning for digital campaigns

The budgeted range starts at $67,000-$80,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
