Job Summary

As the leader of the Operations Support team, you will own the operational processes, procedures, communication and technology roadmaps for all retail and rental locations. This position interacts with a diverse group of employees at all levels of the organization and serves as a key point person for both Field Leadership and the Operations Senior Team. Self-direction and independent judgment are required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

The Director of Operations Support will oversee a team responsible for the creation, implementation, and assessment of various process improvement projects across the rental and retail organization. This position will work on a variety of cross-functional projects with teams including but not limited to IT, Human Resources, Finance, Field Operations and more. This role will work with functional leaders to gain an understanding of different strategic initiatives and support the evaluation of those initiatives through qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create an overall vision for the Operations Support team taking into account the diverse responsibilities of the team comprised of rental operations and all back office support functions including communication, standard operating procedures and technology
  • Key liaison and change champion between Retail Directors and Support teams including IT, Accounting, Marketing, Merchandising, DC and HR who frequently require alignment and support to enact change or communicate updates to the field teams
  • Lead the team in the development of operating procedures through use of effective systems, procedures and documentation to ensure operations are compliant, accurate and efficient. Provide a new perspective on the way that we share this information with the teams and drives increased acceptance and understanding of the procedures
  • Provide leadership to the Rental Operations team in the field facilitating a strong connection between the Rental Operations Managers and Rental field leaders. Directly accountable for metrics and best practice development and implementation specific to rental operations
  • Provide a strategic viewpoint on how to relay, organize and develop communication mechanisms both within the office in Broomfield and out to the stores/field employees
  • Serve as the operations business representative to inform the technology roadmap. Day to day management of issues from the field and planned updates via our IT counterparts. Provide business direction on priorities and opportunities for all software solutions
  • Optimizing operations through use of data and analysis to identify areas of opportunity to streamline in-store operations including evaluation of existing programs and processes. Facilitate information gathering sessions from the business to ensure that front line feedback is taken into account and business needs are met or adequate temporary solutions are in place and documented
  • Use a data driven approach to identify efficiencies instore including staffing models, operational costs and critical time saving opportunities for the front line. Organize and present findings and recommended changes to team to drive our foundational processes
  • Stay current on industry best practices to keep us on the forefront for our industry
  • Proactively assist VP of Operations with the implementation initiatives and projects as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 10+ years' experience in operations or relevant environment
  • Ability to think strategically, understand complex business challenges and formulate effective solutions designed to improve results
  • Experience setting a shared vision and direction and building the excitement needed to influence a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to leadership
  • Proven track record in establishing cross functional relationships, internal and external
  • Ability to shift priorities and react quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communicator that is able to provide and receive feedback
  • Able to work in a fast past environment and prioritize changing objectives
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) complimented with a keen attention to details

The budgeted range starts at $112,000 and $140,250 + annual bonus + equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
