Job Description

The Head Golf Professional is responsible to assist the coordination, functional management and leadership of golf operations which include; Guest and Membership Experience, Golf Tournaments, Retail, Course and Practice Facility set up. The Head Golf Professional will be a supervisor of the Assistant Golf Professionals, Merchandise Manager, Golf Shop Attendants and Player Service Attendants.

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $65,000-70,000/year. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire golf day to day operations including, but not limited to:
• The Golf Shop including retail operations
• Hotel & Outside Golf Tournaments
• Golf Car Fleet Operations
• Golf Practice Facilities including Instructional Programs

• All other golf related programs

• Assist the Director of Golf implementing, reporting and analyzing the Golf Operation Plan annually
• Annual budget
• Monthly forecasting
• Payroll

• Direct expense management

• Enforce all the facility's and membership rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cars, and the facilities.
• Develop and oversee Omni Cultural pieces for the Golf Operation
• Represent the resort within the local and nattional golf community through organization such as the PGA, CGA, and the USGA

Qualifications

• Must posses excellent interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a golf professional
• Must be a Class A member of the PGA in good standing or must have passed Level II of the GPTP
• College Degree a plus, but not required
• Must posses strong computer skills
• Experienced in tournament operations
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising
