VCA has North America s leading network of veterinary hospitals, and is the leading provider of specialty veterinary medicine and post graduate veterinary training.About the JobServes as lead relationship holder and liaison on a company-wide level between franchise and corporate camp locations and the Corporate support office. Accountable for balancing leadership between delivering quality relationships, and quantitative results. Responsible for translating the business strategy into day-to-day execution, providing direction and focus to the Operations team and fostering the team s understanding in a way that aligns and partners with franchisees in order to deliver results against a defined business plan.Primary ResponsibilitiesIncrease Franchise Camp System and Corporate Camp locations organizational capability by analyzing business/financial information and making decisions accordingly and partnering with the Operations team to influence as appropriate. Increase Corporate Camps profitability by identifying sales and profit goals, and then communicating strategies that will facilitate achievement of agreed-upon targets. Manage day-to-day responsibilities and provide direction and coaching for Operations Team.* Proactively maintain regular engagement with Franchise Camp System by performing field visits and calls to ensure that you are well-connected with the franchise system and that their expectations are understood.* Analyze reports and information from Franchise Camp System and department, and include suggestions in overall camp and operations strategy.* Ensure that standards are updated, documented, enforced and communicated to the Franchise Camp and Corporate Camp Systems.* Responsible for the leadership and development of the operational team talent pool by optimizing the skills of the existing team and create succession planning to ensure that key roles are filled, and individual talent is recognized.* Create and ensure there is a well-defined Communication and Engagement model in place to ensure all teams and the Franchise system understand the performance of the business and the operational standards expected.* Continuous identification and implementation of operational best practice through interaction with the operations team as well as other internal departments.* Motivate and effectively manage Operations Managers within the operations team to ensure delivery of overall targets and business plan.* Identify and highlight further opportunities for services and process improvements.* Respond to camp incidents and inquiries to ensure camp systems are following operational standards.* Promotes satisfaction of the Franchises system by conducting regular surveys.* Meet with Team and all other departments regularly to take part in the growth of the business plans to ensure they meet the standards of the franchisee and the company.* Ensure that the business plan and financial goals are executed appropriately in relation to our company resources.* Ensure that the system and the company is up to date with all information by communicating results in a timely and accurate manner.* Define, develop and establish training program to educate on camp operations for the franchise and corporate camp system.* Partner with other departments to develop or update comprehensive onboarding and advanced learning curricula through the use of state-of-the-art tools including technology and materials to meet franchise and client needs.* Develop and deploy Franchise product and operational training with strong facilitation and platform skills through various avenues including (but not limited to) live classroom training, workshops, virtual sessions, meetings, and teleconference options. Corporate Operations:* Responsible for Overseeing Corporate Camp Portfolio through Corporate Camp Division - Division Director, Camp Director, and Camp Counselors* Monitor profits and losses of the Corporate Camps and ensure that the profits are growing steadily each yet.* If there are issues or the Camps suffer losses, analyze the problem and make changes accordingly. Essential Skills* Extensive experience working for a franchised brand.* Experience with operational leadership.* Excellent track record of leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at the senior level.* Ability to hire, develop and retain talented team members.* Able to inspire, coach and drive success throughout the operations team.* Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.* Ability to set and review quality performance standards across a large team.* Knows the value of data. Creates operational strategies to increase the collection of valuable data and uses data to provide recommendations accordingly.* Very driven, hardworking, and works with a sense of urgency.* Comfortable in the field and interacting with owners.* Able to stick to decisions made by the corporate office and able to communicate the why of those decisions.* Proven problem solving, strategic thinking, and planning abilities.* Experience working closely with outside investors, owners and/or shareholders.AvailabilityFull time, exempt position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. 5 p.m. at the Corporate Office in Westminster, CO; attendance at evening and weekend events may be required occasionally.
