Production Supervisor Department: Automation Shift: 2nd shift Job
Summary: This position exists to operate various automated
machinery for Bal Seal Engineering manufacturing clients. Please
note this is a second shift position. Bal Seal offers a dollar
uplift shift differential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with
established procedures and guidelines Uses computer-controlled,
and/or manually-controlled equipment to select, position, and
secure automatic or semi-automatic machines Controls and adjusts
machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to
specifications, and in a timely fashion Works under the close
direction of tenured personnel in the functional area Possesses a
moderate understanding of general aspects of the job Observes while
the machine is being repaired by a Technician Observes and follows
all safety protocols Learns the use of precision measuring tools
Perform daily housekeeping operations in the work area to maintain
a safe workplace Perform other related duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred Experience: 1 year
of automation operation experience preferred, not required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills Must be able to promote and work in a highly
collaborative environment Ability to perform in a medium to
fast-paced environment Physical Requirements: Occasionally required
to bend, stoop and squat Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10
pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
Required to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and
products Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a
keyboard and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her
desk Occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather
data and clarify information Work Environment: The work environment
conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Reasonable

protection may be required if employee enters high noise areas as a
