Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance
disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We

success.What You'll Do:
- Conduct planning, design and implementation tasks to meet
requirements for the overall enterprise Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure.
- Work with application owners to validate software
functionality.
- Provide solution sets and engineering support for desktop
services and maintenance to provide the best experience for our
end-user community.
- Recommend design changes and/or enhancements for improved
systems availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues
with the vendor.
- Provide support for mobile management services on company
provided devices.
- Primary responsibility will be to support and maintain
enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure within a large classified
enterprise environment.
- Develop, document and perform approved maintenance plans on
production systems.
- Perform scheduled weekend and after-hours tasks, as well as
after-hours emergency support (as required).
- Support and troubleshoot issues associated with systems within
a multi-tier and multi-lifecycle environment as well as maintain
test environments.
- Research, test, document, and implement new products in
compliance with security policies.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work
location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and
other possible non-company locations may be required.Working
Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory,
cleanroom, or production floor. #IJSRequired Education, Experience,
& Skills
- Related Bachelor's and 8 or more years of related experience;
or HS Diploma and 12 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate's, Bachelor's Degree,
Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of
experience.
- Related certifications may count towards years of related
experience.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of
education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school
which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of
Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Top Secret security clearance is
required.
- VCP or relevant experience.
- Previous SME support for VMWare products on the Federal branch
side.
- Extensive experience with large enterprise environments
supporting complex networks, load balanced instances and physical
x86 servers.
- Working knowledge of security packages and hardening
practices.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise VMs and appliance type
O.S.
- Working knowledge skills with Microsoft Windows/Linux Operating
Systems, Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy, Role-based
permissions.
- DNS Internal and External.
- VMWare based certificates.
- VMware infrastructure experience required in the following
applications:
- vSphere ESXi
- vCenter (VCSA)
- vRealize Operations for vSphere and HorizonHorizon View 7
operational support or higher
- User Environment Manager
- ThinApp and application stacks running App Volumes
- Knowledge of SAN and vSAN technologies.
- Knowledge of NIST security policies and guidelines.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team
environment.
- At least 5 years supporting enterprise virtual desktop
infrastructure and engineering tools support.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $115000 - $158500Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
