Kforce has a client in Broomfield, CO that is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator. This is a contract to hire role. It is currently on site, but our client is looking into a possible hybrid role. The Senior Windows System Administrator will get their own office with a door. They are searching for people that know options, not just what they did at their last/only other gig. The goal is to automate much as much as possible.

Highlights:

• Pager duty rotation is required
  
• Nights/weekends (relatively scheduled) should be considered normal for this job
  
• Onsite/in-office position
  
• Currently RHEL & CentoOS; Appliance support (ESXi) is expected
  
• They are on DUO today, and are actively moving to MSMFA
  
• Automation is a key goal/initiative: SCCM, PS/Batch scripts; Other tools are possible (Ansible, SCOM, etc); Scripts to start
  
  
  Basics criteria:
  
  • All criteria should be at a mid-large enterprise level; Preferably 1000+ users, and/or 100+ servers
    
  • Windows Server (+); Hardware, installs, configs (roles, features, app servers), performance monitoring, hardening, planning, staging, etc.
    
  • Storage: DAS, NAS, SAN, fiber switching
    
  • Backups: all encompassing and understand good schedule implementation; Enterprise software, restores, tapes, ExaGrid, Veeam
    
  • VCenter/Vsphere/ESXi: setup/install (HW & Hypervisor, config, expansion)
    
  • Active directory: all aspects, from planning to standup to run & maintain, migrations, imports/exports/mergers, cleanups, GPO
    
  • They employ Azure; They have a hybrid Azure/on-prem presence; A3/A5 level
    
  • They have an on-prem exchange server for syncing; All else is in M365
