They will play a critical role in deploying and supporting IT services to the appropriate solution. They will be expected to stay abreast of advances in technologies; assessing, making recommendations, and deploying said technologies. They are expected to be a leader in collaboration efforts across organizations (architecture, development, operational teams, business units, etc.) in solving critical business and technology issues while improving customer experience.The Main ResponsibilitiesMust possess technical expertise in compute operating system and virtual infrastructure administrationWill provide support directly to internal stakeholders throughout the enterprise to enable and support highly available application solutionsPerform site reliability engineering functions such as Assessing standards, practices, technologies, and ecosystems, Making recommendations for improvements and in support of going forward strategies, and Facilitating implementation tasks (Examples: operational standards, automation, developing/implementing code)Develop and document best practices/procedures, risk assessments, contingency planning, and disaster recovery & business continuity planningProvide technical support to internal stakeholders through the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems across multiple technical disciplinesInteract and communicate with various levels of management on projects and initiativesProvide leadership in the migration of legacy technologies to current standardsFunction in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, environmentMentor/cross-train team members on existing and new technologiesOther duties as assignedWhat We Look For in a CandidateMinimum of 4 years of experience in delivering Information Technology projects to medium/large enterprisesExperience with server virtualization (Examples: VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (Examples: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Swarm, etc.) and management systemsExperience with automation and orchestration technologies (Examples: Morpheus, Big Panda)Strong/Expert knowledge in Linux and/or Windows administrationExcellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across the full IT technology stackStrong interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and team dynamic skillsAbility to clearly communicate technical topics across a broad range of technical and non-technical backgroundsEducationBachelors degree (Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering or related) or equivalent experienceWhat to Expect NextRequisition #: 271138EEO StatementWe are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all persons regardless of race, color, ancestry, citizenship, national origin, religion, veteran status, disability, genetic characteristic or information, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, family status, pregnancy, or other legally protected status (collectively, protected statuses). Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
