Job Description:

The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator at Swedish Medical Center is responsible for delivering exceptional patient-centered care in our state-of-the-art Stepdown Intensive Care Unit. This role involves supervising and coordinating nursing staff activities to ensure the highest standards of care, promoting patient safety, and optimizing outcomes. The coordinator will act as a key liaison among the nursing staff, patients, and other medical professionals to facilitate communication and effective patient care. Oversee the daily operations of the Stepdown ICU, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Coordinate nursing staff, manage schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Implement patient care plans and monitor patient progress, adjusting plans as needed. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all team members are up-to-date on the latest health protocols and procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient treatment plans and outcomes. Ensure all patient care activities are documented accurately and promptly in the patient’s medical record. Address and resolve any issues related to patient care or staff performance. Proven leadership and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills In-depth knowledge of ICU or stepdown unit procedures and protocols Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively Competency in using healthcare software and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification ACLS Certification Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred but not required
