UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse for our Surgical Progressive Care Unit. This position plays a crucial role in providing expert nursing care and leadership within our vibrant, Colorado-based, nonprofit health care system. The Charge Nurse will oversee a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Manage and oversee the nursing staff in the Surgical Progressive Care Unit. Coordinate patient care with surgeons, specialists, and healthcare team members. Implement patient care plans, ensuring adherence to the latest health and safety protocols. Monitor patient recovery and adjust care plans based on patient progress. Provide mentoring, guidance, and performance feedback to nursing staff. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and UCHealth standards. Participate in the training of new nurses and continuing education for the team. Strong leadership and team management skills Expertise in surgical care and patient recovery Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in using electronic health record systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-stress environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) preferred.
