to your earnings! Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) acts as a
caregiver for residents during their scheduled shifts in long-term
care. This role involves providing resident-centered nursing care
and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision
of a registered nurse (RN). The NA is responsible for delivering
age-appropriate care that addresses both the physical and
psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
As a vital member of the nursing team, the NA is expected to adhere
to infection prevention and control policies, including the proper
use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities
include: Assisting with basic health care needs such as bathing,
grooming, dressing, and toileting Recording vital signs and
providing psychosocial support Helping residents with mobility,
including transferring and repositioning Facilitating a positive
dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks Documenting
resident interactions and care outcomes Communicating changes in
residents' conditions to the charge nurse Collecting non-invasive
body fluid specimens Providing housekeeping and laundry services to
maintain clean living areas Encouraging resident participation in
wellness and recreational programs Participating in departmental
committees and task forces as needed Qualifications High school
diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not
mandatory Minimum age of 16 years Prior experience as a clinical or
nursing assistant in long-term care is preferred Must possess a
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State
Board of Nursing, or be state-certified within four months of
starting the position by enrolling in a training program CNA
training and certification will be provided by the facility Must
complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing
education credits (minimum of 12 hours required each year) For
applicable states, must be certified and registered with the
Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry Depending on facility
requirements, this role may require a motor vehicle report and
proof of a valid driver’s license Benefits Our organization offers
