Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Varied work schedule with assignment flexibility • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for medical-surgical patients • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and developmental needs • Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians • Formulate and implement comprehensive care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams • Provide direct patient care, coordinate care, and supervise healthcare team activities • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel • Evaluate patient progress and response to care and teaching • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with policies and standards • Participate in unit shared leadership and contribute to quality improvement initiatives • Mentor and precept new staff members and nursing students • Must possess current valid RN license and BLS certification • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Must maintain clinical competencies through annual validations • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics • Must demonstrate adequate physical agility and reaction time for patient care needs Facility: This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical-surgical services with a focus on evidence-based nursing practice and quality patient outcomes.
