Occupational Therapist I, Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Location: UCHlth Harmony Campus 2121, US:CO: Fort Collins

Department: PVH Rehab Services at Harmony

FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

We are looking for a Certified Lymphedema Therapist to work in a busy Oncology Rehab Outpatient clinic. Candidate must have experience with rehabilitation of cancer patients and be comfortable working with the breast population.

Responsibilities:

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
  • Oncology Rehab experience. Preferred:
    
    
    • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
