Our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible.Danone North America is looking for aDirector, Payroll in Broomfield.The Director of Payroll is responsible for designing, managing, planning, and coordinating ongoing administration of payroll functions. This role will take the lead as primary liaison between Payroll and HR subject matter experts, Accounting, HR functional business partners, and all other functional areas (as needed) to define, analyze and evaluate needs for services and (if appropriate) develop, implement and execute recommendations. This position will report to Sr. Director of Operations. The Director of Payroll will manage the hiring, coaching, performance management and development of the Payroll team.Objectives:Drive key business results by leading complex projects and applying change management when and where neededInvolvement with special projects - e.g., pay frequency harmonization, etc.Manage relationships with third party software vendors, and ensure company standards are followed in the maintenance of softwareEffectively represent Payroll operations internally and externally in the marketplaceConsolidate and streamline North America Payroll OperationsLead initiatives to identify, plan and implement key business improvements that incorporate necessary governance, processes, measurements, communication and reporting to sustain efforts as it relates to HR systems and processes.Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure consistency of approach towards driving business objectivesPartner and collaborate with IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and other functional areas to leverage Payroll processes and/or systems in achieving organizational objectives and strategic alignmentImplement and maintain effective internal controls and proactively work to identify and implement efficiency improvementsUse thought leadership and data to promote this function and gain business partnershipPartner with Centers of Excellence leaders and business leaders to incorporate industry best practices and ensure holistic, integrated processesDevelop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and SLA metrics for departmentSupport all business initiatives which require infrastructure support from payroll (i.e, changes in attendance policies, etc.)Provide leadership to ensure that payroll services are processed in accordance with established policies and procedures along with all legislative compliance requirementsCoach and mentor staff to ensure each team member excels individually and engages and motivates the team to work together towards the success of a common goal. Team focus aligned to customer service excellence and continuous operational improvementsDevelop the payroll team, including hiring talent, providing professional growth and development opportunities, and creating an environment of service, knowledge, and accountabilityOversee workload and processing structure of department to maximize efficiency and prioritize in accordance with operational requirements/deadlinesDirect team to ensure compliance with all internal controlsEnsure payroll accuracy, efficiency and timeliness within a strong control environmentSupport team through issue escalationEnsure payroll issues escalated are resolved with root cause analysis and corrective action for all levels of employees and managementRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; a Master's Degree is a plusCertified Payroll Professionals (CPP) designation highly desiredMinimum of 10 years of management experience in Payroll environment requiredExperience supporting Ceridian system is a plusPosition requires practical experience managing payroll-specific projects, implementing systems and defining business requirementsExperience with US and Canadian payroll (including Time and Attendance) requiredExtensive knowledge of both US and Canadian payroll laws requiredExperience with both union and non-union environments requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven strength as team leader, able to collaborate with and work across multiple locations, functions and disciplinesSuperior verbal and written communication skills in order to express key points in a clear mannerDetail-orientedAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage multiple prioritiesPossess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively to various audiences, including field employees and C Suite leadersMaintain a thorough knowledge of Company policies/proceduresWilling and able to work out of our headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado; willing and able to travel to other locations up to 20% of timeDanone North America is a Certified B Corporation business unit of Danone and operates in the U.S. from headquarter offices inWhite Plains, NYandBroomfield, CO.For more information, please visit DanoneNorthAmerica.com .Danone North Americais an equal employment and affirmative action employer.
