Senior Program Manager - National GEOINT Space This position requires demonstrated skills in program management, customer relationship building, and team leadership of a large (> $200M) program, and will report to the Director of the National GEOINT Space business area in the National Defense Strategic Business Unit. What you'll do: Plan, lead and manage a National program balancing technical, cost and schedule performance. Coordinate with Ball business development personnel, manage team activities in response to stated customer needs, develop/execute plans and strategies, and customer relationship management. Work with internal support organizations to complete the program, manage personnel assigned to the program, and balance resources across program priorities. Participate and lead contacts with key government and industry customers. Provide leadership, knowledge, mentoring, staff development, application of the LCGM, management of internal budgets for execution of existing work. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within National GEOINT Space, the National Defense Strategic Business Unit, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others and promote a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. What you'll need: BS/BA in Engineering, Math, Physics or a related field, plus 15 or more years of related experience. MS degree is preferred. Each higher-level degree, i.e. Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. Top Secret clearance required in addition to any special access required for the program information. Experience in management of large (> $200M) Programs using the LCGM is essential. Strong technical competence in any or all of the following is required: Optical and RF payloads, spacecraft bus systems and technologies. Demonstrated experience in leading the development of large design teams. Experience in leading development of large proposals. Must be a superb presenter with documented presentation experience to senior decision making and technical audiences. Strong written communication and proposal writing skills. Must have demonstrated excellent leadership and interpersonal skills in relevant business environments. Influencing, communication and team skills will be critical to successful execution of the duties of the position. Experience operating within classified program environments is a requirement. Experience in program and procurement management responsibilities for space flight hardware. Strong programmatic background with government or industry desirable. Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans is a strong plus. Position requires frequent travel. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be performed in a laboratory or customer location (non-Ball locations). Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required. Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is Required.
