your future and ours.JOB SUMMARYThe SaaS Platforms Strategy Leader
is a pivotal position responsible for shaping the strategic
direction and objectives of Terumo's innovative SaaS solutions. The
role involves ownership for building out platform roadmaps,
concepting how we consolidate disparate solutions into a cohesive
unified platform delivered through a new to Terumo SaaS business
model. They will be responsible for lifecycle management of SaaS
platforms and ensuring the organization is prepared with the needed
competencies to operate under a new business model. They will work
across the enterprise incorporating business-specific application
needs into the underlying platform roadmap and working with R&D
and the broader Digital Transformation organization to ensure
effective execution of development by delivering clear vision,
scope and customer needs.In a rapidly expanding medical device

landscape of a regulated industry.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Platform Transformation
- Lead the vision, strategy and roadmap for consolidation of
existing applications into a single cohesive platform.
- Build the ecosystem around our devices by extending
functionality that is business/regionally isolated to the broader
enterprise.
- Work with Business Relationship Managers to ensure that
business specific software functions are strategically and
synergistically incorporated into the common platform.
- Own the comprehensive roadmap for development of new platforms
in conjunction with sunset of legacy applications.
- Business Model Development
- Work with supporting functions to ensure business processes and
infrastructure is in place to enable a SaaS business model.
- Enable functionality that can be commercialized as new services
for our customers
- Concept pricing models and strategies for value capture that
has global and cross-business relevance
- Product Development and Strategy:
- Translate customer needs and problems into product objectives
and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with R&D, Digital Transformation and Services
teams on the development, delivery and deployment of SaaS
platforms.
- Create and manage roadmaps reflecting technical needs,
milestones, key interdependencies (cross-business, regional,
embedded device software-based)
- Ensure technical requirements align with business goals.
- Technical Feasibility and Decision Making:
- Ensure product's technical aspects align with technological
standards and technical buyer needs.
- Assist in technology-related decisions such as platform or tool
selection.
- Cross-functional Leadership and Planning:
- Lead teams to find solutions to complex technical challenges
during development.
- Develop introductory business plans for new products or
enhancements.
- Coordinate pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Own product lifecycle from inception to sunset.
- Manage assigned product lines including inventory
awareness.
- Address manufacturing or quality problems as well as
application issues
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Track market landscape; develop marketing, promotional, pricing
strategies.
- Collaborate with business relationship managers, business
areas, the sales organization, and go-to-market teams
- Identify new business opportunities
- Develop support tools and marketing programs
- Plan and forecast to ensure timely and high-quality
execution
- Expertise Provisioning:
- Provide expertise on assigned products through strategic
communication.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor indicators like sales vs. forecast, pricing plans,
competitor activity.
- Promotional Strategy and Implementation:
- Direct design and implementation of promotional materials
- Create sales force collateral
- Develop customer communication materials
- Ensure alignment with customer needs and the system selling
approach
- Program Evaluation and Feedback:
- Assess communication, documentation programs, and support
tools
- Gather feedback from customers and sales force
- Conduct objective research to evaluate effectiveness
- Data Governance Contribution:Assist in developing data
governance strategies to enhance data quality and integrityMINIMUM
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering
(computer or software engineering, computer science, bioengineering
or related discipline) or Business Administration with a Marketing
focus. MBA is preferred.ExperienceA minimum of 10 years of relevant
experience, emphasizing software development of systems,
architectures, and platforms as a service. Technical experience is
highly preferred.Skills
- Highly skilled in design thinking and influencing skills.
- Proven cross-functional team leadership.
- Adept at translating technical information to layman's terms
and illustrating complex information in a simple manner.
- Drives for results and hitting commitments
- Expertise in SaaS products and subscription-based service
models, with strong understanding of global regulations,
cybersecurity, and data privacy standards.
- Proven success in utilizing analytics, AI, and machine learning
technologies.
- Preferred experience in software product management;
advantageous background in medical and device software within
regulated industries.
- Solid technical foundation with skills in programming,
networking, database management, and product development from
inception to launch.
- Extensive experience with Class II/III medical devices and
launching products both domestically and globally.
- In-depth knowledge of sales/marketing strategies, including
strategic planning and program delivery on a global scale.
- Experience crafting marketing strategies, business plans,
conducting business analysis, and developing strategic
initiatives.
- Skilled in assessing customer needs and market trends to inform
product definitions and strategy within the medical device/software
sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of marketplace dynamics related to
product pricing, promotion, distribution.
- Agile development environment experience with history managing
cross-functional teams across R&D, finance, operations, quality
assurance.-Or-An equivalent competency level acquired through a
variation of these qualifications may be considered.PHYSICAL

travel up to 25%Target Pay Range: $151,900.00to$189,900.00 - Salary
