Job Description:
Plan and manage the sales effort of the Catering Department of
the hotel to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service
while meeting/exceeding revenue/profit goals. Utilize prospecting
skills and strong business sense to consistently exceed catering
revenue goals. Recruit, deploy, motivate, support, and grow a team
of Catering Sales and Convention Service Managers. Report and
critique all Catering activities to the Cluster Director of Sales &
Marketing. Enliven the Westmont Standards within the Department and
the hotel. Support all Corporate and hotel initiatives as

The hotel operates 24/7, requiring flexibility in shifts, start

- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the catering sales
effort.
- Provide positive, aggressive leadership to maximize revenue;
set personal booking goals.
- Create a conducive office environment for selling and customer
advocacy.
- Oversee hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring of catering
sales managers and associates.
- Participate in developing and managing catering sales revenue
and operating budgets; assist in forecasting.
- Set booking goals for team members and other sales channels;
hold teams accountable.
- Recognize and retain top talent proactively.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders
internally and externally.
- Analyze market information and implement catering strategies to
meet financial goals.
- Assist in accurate projections and approve space releases to
maximize revenue.
- Develop and implement aggressive solicitation programs and
marketing plans.
- Collaborate with off-property sales channels; conduct outside
sales calls and prospecting.
- Complete components of the marketing plan, including strategic
action plans for market segments.
- Set goals with the DOSM, utilizing market knowledge and
goal-setting models.
- Develop menus with the Executive Chef to ensure profitability
and satisfaction.
- Establish booking guidelines based on data and forecasts.
- Prepare and present catering information for reviews with
owners and executives.
- Review pace reports and reforecast weekly/monthly/quarterly
budgets.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and promotions to maximize
revenue.
- Complete sales activity critiques to provide insights and
updates.Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and build long-term
relationships.
- Coordinate event details with customers, follow up post-event,
and be present during events.
- Display leadership in guest hospitality and ensure high service
standards.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively.

- Minimum 5+ years progressive sales experience with a proven
record of exceeding goals.
- Previous sales leadership preferred.
- Strong negotiation, prospecting, and relationship management
skills.
- Knowledge of menu planning, event operations, and hotel
systems.
- Financial acumen, including P&L management and
forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making
skills.Physical DemandsFrequent walking, standing, sitting,
hearing, talking, smiling. Lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up
to 10 pounds.This position may be at a location where Hyatt is not
