- Other Specifics: RemoteJob Summary:The Director of Compensation
is responsible for creating the overall design, development and
implementation of Vail Resorts compensation processes and programs.
In this role, you will focus on utilizing data to design and
deliver compensation initiatives for our different employee groups.
This will include assessing base pay and short and long term
incentive programs to ensure they allow us to hire and retain top
talent. This role will develop and execute initiatives aligned with
our Talent strategy. This role will lead a team of 4 compensation
professionals.The most successful candidates have the following

Responsibilities:
- Develop roadmap for enterprise compensation strategy
- Serve as subject matter expert to leadership and help guide
decisions around compensation related issues
- Assess, develops and implements necessary updates to the
companys compensation processes including job levels, grades,
salary structures and incentive plan designs
- Develops programs to educate employees on compensation plans
and processes
- Lead annual merit review process including recommending
guidelines for merit, promotions and market adjustment
increases
- Leads and develops compensation team members to ensure
efficient operation of function
- Stays current and ensures all laws and regulations are followed
and the company remains compliantJob Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree, Advanced degree preferred
- Prior experience with designing compensation programs and
structures
- Minimum 10 years compensation or related experience, preferably
in a medium-large company
- 3+ years managing others
- Self-driven and capable of working with senior leaders, members
of the HR team, and cross-functional partners throughout the
company
- Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skillsThe
expected pay range is $140,400 - $165,000 + annual bonus + equity.
