simPRO is looking for a savvy leader experienced in turning content marketing into a growth engine. The Content Marketing Strategy Director is responsible for setting and executing a company's content marketing strategy, i.e., figuring out how to create, distribute, and promote the kind of highly relevant, valuable content necessary to attract, acquire, and engage our target audience.

The ideal candidate has significant leadership experience building and executing content marketing strategy and guiding a highly talented team of content creators.

    What You'll Do
    • Lead an integral part of our global marketing team, responsible for leading content's role in simPRO brand storytelling.
    • Develop a content strategy based on our business objectives and customer's needs working with demand generation, field marketing, partner marketing, product marketing.
    • Lead all aspects of content planning and development to drive awareness, demand generation, and sales enablement goals.
    • Own the process to translate our content strategy into an editorial calendar that helps bring structure and consistency to downstream activities like webinars, events, and email campaigns.
    • Build the processes and tools that help the wider marketing team follow simPRO's style guide and tone of voice across long-form and short-form content, including blog posts, eBooks, white papers, landing pages and ad copy.
    • Establish success metrics and apply relevant customer insights to help define effective and innovative content campaigns, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Network, collaborate, discover and cultivate relationships with industry thought-leaders, influencers, creative content producers, and similar to bring innovative ideas to the brand via contacts and relevant relationships.
    • Lead, mentor, grow a talented team of content creators.
    • Operate as a player/coach, also delivering high-quality content projects as needed.

      Your Qualifications
      • Mastery of content strategy with at least 7 years of experience creating effective content strategies and you have the ROIs to prove it.
      • You're a strategic thinker, able to help shape our process needs in order to achieve organizational goals.
      • Ideally, you have Saas experience, but not required.
      • Strong people management skills, with a track record helping content creators thrive.
      • You possess skills to compellingly communicate a product or a brand's story, and a design sensibility to envision how content could be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles, such as infographics or multimedia presentations
      • You bring a detailed understanding of customer behavior and the facility to anticipate their needs/desires.
      • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with a high capacity to collaborate with internal teams as well as external partners and vendors.
      • You have a portfolio of high-quality work showing a variety of content types, lengths and tones.
      • You bring analytical abilities that help you collect key business and user insights and apply their strategic planning skills to build a long-term vision for the generated content.
      • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or business, or relative experience
      • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Asana and content marketing systems.
      • You are comfortable being uncomfortable.
      • You're a self-starter who can articulate big ideas and exciting trends. You don't get bogged down by the little things. You are eager and able to iterate quickly.
