We're hiring a Market Research and Insight Manager!Under the guidance of the Insights Design Lead, the Research and Insight Manager will lead, oversee and manage full market insight, research and analysis frameworks for the Back-up Care Division at Bright Horizon. This is a key role, which will help us understand our audiences (both prospective and current parents for our child care centers, and prospective and current corporate partners, their employees, and our provider networks), their motivations, expectations and behaviors better in order to steer the development of our portfolio of products and services and marketing activities. This role also encompasses sector and competitive insight, incl. employment market trends and insight into the employee benefits agendas.The Research and Insight Manager will be responsible for prioritization, planning, development and management of relevant and accurate market insight and research activities that inform institutional positioning, product/service development and pricing and marketing strategies. They will provide specialist professional advice, guidance and training to colleagues across Bright Horizons in support of their audience research and intelligence requirements to ensure our activities are targeted, but equally measured effectively. This role will encompass B2C, B2B and B2E audiences and sector/market specific insight.What you will be doing in this role:

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver internal and external market research and analysis as required by key stakeholders across the institution: end-to-end delivery of internal and external research projects, incl. management of briefing processes, deciding on agency selection, hypothesis development and testing of quantitative and qualitative methodologies and agency services to ensure that commissioned projects are delivered to brief on time, within budget and to high professional standards
  • Provide actual hands-on moderation of focus groups and one-on-one in-depth interviewing, especially for smaller scope, short-term, tactical efforts
  • Transform internal and external data and research pieces into actionable insight, deliver clear recommendations for evidence-based decision making to Bright Horizons leadership team driving consensus and decisions
  • Provide guidance for senior colleagues on how to use market research, intelligence and analysis in the development of their portfolio regarding service offerings and communications to parents and corporate partners
  • Select, mentor, coach and develop potential future team of professionals
  • Regular monitoring of trends in employee benefit space, brand and product positioning of major players, and associated campaigns and results and reporting to senior managers as required
  • Facilitate smooth passage of new, innovative care-type ideas through the innovation/strategic gating process, including acquisition of facts-based method to gauge Client Employee interest and receptivity.What we hope you will bring to this role:
    • Bachelor's Degree requiredin Liberal Arts, STEM, or Psychology/Sociology/Social Anthropology-related disciplines.
    • Minimum additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree
    • 3 years of significant(3-5 years) previous experience required in market research and insight, with evidence in both delivering research directly, and commissioning external research agencies
    • 3 years of experience preferred in knowledge of broad market and customer insight research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, combined with ability to advise which methodology will have the strongest impact
    • Excellent influencer, change-maker and effective communicator (oral and in writing)
