development.Summary:Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES) is
looking for a Manager, Procurement - Solar to join the central
Procurement Team in a leadership position, leading a team of
procurement professionals and achieving competitive advantage
through best practices in supply management and driving overall
business profitability. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the
Manager, Procurement - Solar will lead the procurement team
responsible for Solar and additionally some Wind procurement
throughout the organization with a focus on development of the team
members and creating supply chain strategy with consideration for
the business streams.Main AccountabilitiesLeadership
Accountabilities: Identifies and deploys a motivated teams needed

organizationProvide regular and direct feedback on performance and
goal progressFunctional Accountabilities: Develops procurement
strategies with our goals and long-term plans. Focused on driving
the procurement function by:Lead important supplier engagement and
negotiations focusing on providing best value for RES with a focus
on trackers, inverters, BLA and cable for solar projectsEngage
senior level teams (partners) throughout the organization to ensure
understanding of organizational strategic goals and project
needsDemonstrate leadership and expertise in eyes of client
groupsReport on high-level market updates and project specific
procurement progressDevelop commodity specific sourcing strategies
and category plans that span across the businessCreate, evaluate,
and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing
policies and procedures for process improvement to support
performance that bring value; implements new opportunities for cost
savings, cost avoidance and track these goalsEstablish targets and
oversee the management and evaluation of supplier
performance.Provide management reports and important performance
data, monitors and track buyout progress and schedules impacts for
each projectLead by example to show that safety is the most
important function, ensuring all employee follow safe practices
while workingSkills:RequiredLeadership experienceConstruction
procurement experience with focus on Solar renewables related to
supply of major equipment - trackers, inverters, BLA and cableLead
complex negotiations with important suppliers and
subcontractorsMain supplier management experienceExperience of
contracts and subcontractsAdvanced experience in contract
preparation, monitoring, and controllingDesirableKnowledge of
construction industry and associated field concepts and procedures,
with knowledge of renewable industry an added bonusProject
management experienceKnowledge of Lean methodologySome wind
procurement experienceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in
construction management, business, engineering, supply chain
management, or equivalent degree, or military/education/relevant
work experience combinationGraduate degree preferred10+ years of
experience negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts3+ years of
experience leading and developing teams in a procurement
organizationCertification with ISM or CIPS preferredMust have a
valid current driver license and be eligible for corporate vehicle
insurance coverage.Can obtain a valid current passport to travel
outside the U.S.Physical requirements and environment:The work

test as a condition of employment.Anticipated base salary range:
$110,000- $160,000The final agreed upon compensation is based on
individual education, qualifications, experience, and work
