Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYThe Revenue Management Specialist will assist the
Sales organization in making decisions on how to maximize the
revenue potential and bottom-line impact of the business by
utilizing insights to develop pricing strategies aligned to
commercial strategies and through optimization of revenue
investments. This role will be responsible for driving results
behind one of the organization's most critical strategic pillars.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully build RGM center of excellence
- Support Revenue and Growth to develop impactful insights and
recommendations
- Work closely with other functions to influence decision making
across the business
- Lead improvement initiatives for tools and reporting
- Leading the development of a deep analytical foundation and
capability over time
- Developing and disseminating self-service RGM tools (e.g., ROI
evaluator)
- Working with training to conduct education sessions across the
org (all sales FTEs, marketing, finance, etc.) to facilitate
understanding of power, limitations, and implications of RGM
analytics, tools, and potential strategies
- Translating insights from these analyses into actionable and
impactful recommendations to Commercial and Sales teams
- Being the source of pricing, promo, assortment, and trade
expertise, and properly working with and helping shape the thinking
of Commercial organization (e.g., when building pricing, promo,
trade strategies), Sales (e.g., when creating customer level plans
and executing), Finance (e.g., evaluating and tracking
performance), Marketing (e.g., coordinating on analyses,
understanding the connection between customer insights and RGM
analyses), and the executive team
- Maintaining a total enterprise view; set agenda/prioritization
of initiatives and ensure these are reflected across customer
plans
- Designing standards and best practices for the customer
planning process
- Overseeing the creation of standard tools to support customer
forecasting, sales planning, sales investment tracking, etc., and
cascade tools to field/region
- Supporting strategic planning processes at key customers to
ensure best practices are being used properlyBACKGROUND & EXPERTISE
- A Bachelor's degree in business or other disciplines that
requires quantitative knowledge
- 5+ years of progressive experience with a combination of
corporate and field sales roles within the CPG industry
- 3+ years specifically within trade marketing, pricing, or
revenue management
- Experience in sales and/or finance
- Strong analytical acumen
- Ability to travel 25%Equivalent combinations of education and
