Support us as: Director, Marketing 2647 -----Broomfield, CO-- JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Responsible for directing and managing the efforts of the marketing department in order to support the company's efforts to improve business success, including retaining customers, attracting new customers, and enhancing products and services; along with Creative Manager, develops and implements creative visuals for brand strategies and communications. JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS Management

  • Directs, manages, selects, trains, motivates, reviews, coaches, develops and retains a high performance team.
  • Conducts timely and accurate employee performance evaluations; addresses performance issues as needed.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and intra-departmental communications; maintains managerial relationships by encouraging and providing a timely, two-way flow of information between subordinates, management, directors, sr. management, and user groups.
  • Motivates staff to improve work performance and provides training and development opportunities as needed.
  • Ensures compliance in Health, Environment & Safety/Quality in all areas of operations; ensures company policies and guidelines, as set forth in the Corporate Human Resources Policy manual are followed. Budget Strategies
    • Develops and administers Marketing budget, including reviewing previous year's budget/expenses and forecasting short and long-range budgeting needs; authorizes expense reports; approves and manages expenditures; ensures expenditures are in alignment with approved budget. Marketing and Business Strategies
      • Oversees business planning objectives with cross-functional teams in order to obtain market share, product penetration and customer satisfaction.
      • Gathers information on competitive activity in the market place; incorporates intelligence into operational and strategic planning process.
      • Develops product communication strategies and implements integrated communication plans to improve customer's awareness of our products.
      • Directs and implements marketing strategies and campaigns related to advertising, trade show marketing, new product launches, public relations, market research and pricing management.
      • Conducts market research, competitive evaluations, financial and sales analyses to evaluate and enhance existing programs and identify new opportunities.
      • Leads the development and management of sales tools, collateral materials, and catalogs in both print and electronic formats; ensures all catalogs, sales materials, and on-line resources are maintained with current and correct information and distributed on a timely basis.
      • Performs detailed analyses to fully understand sales and market trends for all product lines; determines why some customer purchases are up and others down; recommends and implements ways and means to build on strengths and correct weaknesses.
      • Works closely with sales to effectively develop and execute promotions and marketing programs to achieve financial expectations.
      • Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, industry influencers and strategic partners.
      • Researches new markets and conducts situational assessments to ensure attract-ability; identifies emerging product trends, customer needs, etc.
      • Works closely with cross-functional team to identify potential new business opportunities; develops a plan to secure business.
      • Consistently evaluates and monitors the impact of all marketing activity to ensure it is both relevant and cost effective.
      • Works with senior management to define and communicate a clear vision of the future; translates vision into understandable goals and targets. Market and Creative Product Branding
        • Works with cross-functional teams to determine key positioning and focus for the brand in terms of its marketing stance.
        • Contributes to the strategic and creative development of company's marketing and branding efforts for new business development.
        • Develops and implements strategic marketing plan for brand, ensuring key elements of the brand strategy are incorporated and integrated.
        • Works with Creative Manager to develop creative visual communications, ideas and graphics to support the brand strategy.
        • Drives the development of PR, advertising, consumer events and direct marketing activity for brand strategy; ensures consistency with other brand marketing activity.
        • Reports and Market Analyses Other
          • Participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations in order to remain up-to-date and current on creative marketing practices.
          • Facilitates and attends meetings as required or assigned.
          • Performs other duties as required or assigned. Special Job Dimensions

                • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline
