Summary/Objective: This is a key leadership position. Modernizing
IT infrastructure is a critical piece of the strategic plan for
Information Technology at Elevations. This leader will direct
improvements to cloud services, unified communications, network
services, data center operations, servers and storage platforms,
and service monitoring. This role also works closely with the CIO
and peer IT leaders, including information security, governance,
and application development, to design and execute on the system's
technology roadmap. The VP of IT Operations will develop strategy,
drive innovation, and ensure execution and support in a complex
system with multiple sites. This individual is responsible for
providing the strategic direction for the infrastructure function
on an enterprise level. He, she, or they will assess the relative
impact of IT industry trends to current and future enterprise
infrastructure needs and projects. This leader will Interface with
business unit executives and other IT functional area executives to
define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for
improving service efficiency and effectiveness with a growth
mindset and invoking a culture of innovation. Essential Functions
include:
- Leads the development of infrastructure strategy, architecture,
service delivery standards and procedures for the enterprise.
- Analyzes and predicts trends and develops long-range plan
designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the
enterprise's IT infrastructure.--
- Participates in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a
current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology
and systems and best practices (e.g., ITIL) as related to the needs
of the business.
- Responsible for creating and managing the IT Infrastructure and
Operations budget.
- Support the creation and implementation of the IT Business plan
as it pertains to IT Infrastructure and Operations.
- Ensures projects are completed to budget, timelines, quality
standards, and communicate risks and progress to business
stakeholders.
- Collaborate with and direct the activities of 3rd party
technical resources across managed service providers, vendors, and
contractors.
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical
colleagues at all levels in both verbal and written
communications.
- Plan, staff, train, coach, mentor, and direct employees within
the IT infrastructure team. Recommend staffing levels and resources
for the department.
- Direct the building, implementing, and support enterprise
technologies and related services including Microsoft Enterprise
Infrastructure, Virtualization, Networking, Datacenters, Desktop
Engineering, Cloud Services, and exhibited experience migrating
data centers to hosted cloud providers at an enterprise level
- Leading IT infrastructure team in a 24/7 production, high
consumer-traffic web environment, including web hosting, voice and
data networks, security and information protection, with load
balancing implementations and high-availability networks ensuring
resiliency, DR, BCP, backup and recovery objectives are tested and
met.
- Prepare and present strategic visions and presentations to
chief and board level audiences.
- Implement private, public and hybrid cloud strategies such as
IAAS, PAAS, SAAS that optimize business goals with costs.
- Train and mentor peers to administer implemented technologies
effectively.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and
change priorities as the business needs change.
- Drive culture of continuous improvement to improve quality,
efficiencies, and standards across our IT infrastructure & services
in a two-time Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award recipient
organization.
- Work closely with IT Information Security, compliance and
privacy to set standards, operational processes, and policies.
- Adheres to established IT policies and standard operating
procedures in alignment with NIST, FFIEC, & NCUA audit
standards.
- Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and
regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy
Act (BSA). Reports to: Chief Information Officer Manages: AVP of
Application Operations; System Engineering Manager, Cloud
Engineering and Architecture, IT Desktop Support Manager Driving
Execution, Building Partnerships, Adaptability, Building Talent,
Customer Focus, Navigating Complexity Required Education and
Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Computer Science or
relevant work experience
- 10+ years' experience in infrastructure, IT operations and IT
service management leadership role
- Applicable technology certifications, ITIL, Cisco, VMware, and
Business Continuity certifications
- Experience directing a team in the design, deployment and
managing enterprise technologies in a highly regulated institution
technology environment
- Datacenter Infrastructure: Server/SAN planning, deployments,
consolidation, migrations, Infrastructure Performance Management
(NPM) and Application Performance Management (APM)
- Enterprise Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, DNS,
Server OS, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint
- Virtualization: Hyper V, Xenserver or VMware deployments
- Security: Okta SSO/MFA
- Disaster Recovery and Application Resiliency across multiple
data centers and cloud infrastructures
- Cloud infrastructure: Office365, Azure, AWS, including
demonstrated cloud migration experience
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with both on-prem and IaaS
specifically Azure & AWS
- Networking: Firewalls, VPN, Routing, Switching, VOIP,
SD-WAN
- Telephony: Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) and Unified
Communication as a Service (UCaaS RingCentral and Zoom
- Knowledge of current and emerging technology trends within the
financial services as it relates to IT operations, service, and
availability
- Working knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and bank
operations
- Knowledge of complex server environments and server software
across heterogeneous server and networking environments
- Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytic skills
- Ability to partner effectively across all levels of the
organization and develop positive working relationship This job
operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office

Compensation: The minimum point of the budgeted range is $142,500 +
an annual incentive. The candidate's starting salary will be
