to apply. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Plans and
coordinates summer camp programs and activities for school-aged
participants. Plans field trips and excursions; ensures proper
payment is made for trips and activities. Leads participants on
activities. Provides transportation for participants by driving a
15-passenger van. Trains and provides guidance to part-time and/or
seasonal staff. Ensures safety practices and administers First Aid
and CPR when needed. Communicates in person and via email with
parents and caregivers regarding participants. Responds to customer
inquiries. Collects payments for activity participation. Orders and
purchases supplies. Minimum Qualifications: An equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience that
demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be
considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: Must have at least by six (6) months to 1-year
experience in working with school-aged children; or an equivalent
combination of education, experience, or training. Licenses and/or
Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid certifications required;
or ability to attain within 30 days of hire Must possess and
maintain a valid Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and practices in working with school-aged
children. Skill in providing guidance to and instructing others.
Skill in both written and oral communications for effective
expression and clarity. Skill in interacting with participants and
their parents/care givers. Skill in performing CPR and first aid.
Ability to address parents and care givers with tact and courtesy.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions
in accordance with established Town policies and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with supervisor, coworkers, participants, care givers, and parents.
Ability to safely drive a multi-passenger van. Must satisfactorily
complete a driving record check, central registry and criminal
background check prior to commencing employment. The Town of Castle
