While pay varies based on credentials, the school, and the assignment, we strive to pay the highest rates among substitute providers.\nBe a W-2 employee so no fussing with taxes\n$0 onboarding costs: We reimburse you for expenses related to state background checks\nRefer friends to sub with Scoot - after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards\n\n What you'll do:\n\nFollow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher\nInstruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum\nMonitor and assess student achievements and outcomes\nExercise classroom and behavior management skills\nShare your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students\n\n You'll need to provide:\n\nActive Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)\nSubstitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)\nThree References with one by a previous direct supervisor\nComplete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)\nComplete a Background Check for the Colorado Department of Education (to receive your Substitute Authorization; you will not be reimbursed for the cost)\n\n About Scoot Education:\n Scoot Education is an educational staffing company that bridges the gap between schools in need and stellar educators to ensure that students don't lose valuable learning.
