We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team to support our earthwork and underground utilities team. The ideal candidate will share our passion for excellence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and play a key role in supporting the success of our expanding project portfolio. Duties Analyze and comprehend Civil, Structural, Architectural, and other construction drawings to extract pertinent information for project planning and estimating. Support project management teams by providing necessary documentation and updates to facilitate a smooth handover process. Utilize software tools to efficiently and accurately obtain item quantities for estimating. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid for project estimation and cost control activities. Engage in negotiation processes related to contracts and pricing to ensure favorable terms for the company. Collaborate with construction management teams to oversee project timelines and deliverables. Collaborate with project management teams to maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and costs associated with projects to facilitate effective budgeting. Organize and consolidate information from various sources to facilitate decision-making and project planning processes. Prepare bid proposals professionally, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and specifications. Conduct and document regular follow-ups on outstanding proposals. Engage in networking events to assist in relationship building and promote the SWI brand. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for document management and collaboration. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and pricing discussions. Familiarity with HeavyBid software for construction estimating purposes. Strong mathematical and computer skills to perform calculations and utilize software tools effectively in project analysis and estimation. Background in construction site experience, providing practical insights into daily operations and challenges. Experience with estimating underground utility (water/sewer/storm) and earthwork scopes. Understanding of construction management principles to improve estimating accuracy. Employ strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks across various teams while meeting deadlines. Results-Oriented, Accountable, Aligned, Transparent, Inspirational, and Disciplined!
