Location: 1841 Taylor Ave, Louisville, KY Duration: Perm or
Contract (HM is open to both depending on the candidates preference
and their resume) Compensation : $20-$30/hr (this is a full time
position, but they are paid hourly) Desired Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial
plumbing systems, including water lines, drainage, pumps, valves,
and fixtures. Experience performing electrical maintenance on
lighting systems, circuits, outlets, motors, and low?voltage
equipment. Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and
plumbing issues in a large?scale facility environment. Competence
using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, pipe cutters, conduit
benders, and related equipment. Experience working in unique or
industrial environments (tunnels, underground facilities,
warehouses, or attractions) is a plus. Ability to perform routine
inspections, preventive maintenance, and documentation of facility
systems. Comfortable working around heavy equipment,
ride/attraction systems, and large?scale infrastructure. Attention
to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and
guest?ready facility. Day to Day The Facilities Technician supports
the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all underground
facilities and attractions within the Louisville Underground/Mega
Cavern complex. This role performs routine maintenance,
inspections, and repairs on building systems including electrical,
mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and attraction equipment.
Responsibilities include monitoring environmental conditions,
responding to maintenance requests, ensuring compliance with safety
standards, and assisting with special projects or event setups. The
technician works in a unique underground environment and must be
comfortable operating tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues
independently, and collaborating with operations teams to maintain
a clean, functional, and guest?ready facility.
