Summary_Of_Job The Vail Resorts Brand Marketing Team is committed to growing and positioning the brands of our world-class mountain resorts. This team is focused on creating emotionally resonant campaigns, creative and messaging in our brand voices, and deploying creative into our guest-centric, data-driven, targeted and personalized marketing approach, to deliver on Vail Resorts mission of creating an Experience of a Lifetime across 37 resorts with 55,000+ employees and a market capitalization of $8.5B. Located at our corporate headquarters, Vail Resorts Brand Strategy team in partnership with our recently expanded Content Marketing Team, allows us to further position and differentiate our world-class brands and to scale the creative and content necessary to enable our Go To Market vision. We are focused on creating a sustainable, high-performing team of exceptional Brand talent that will develop their teams and prioritize career growth through accelerated opportunities and progression. This Senior Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for developing and delivering the brand positioning, brand evolution, campaign articulation, and creative and content development for some of the world s pre-eminent mounta resorts. S/he has direct accountability for creating and communicating the resort brand positioning, brand pillars and key attributes, leveraging data to inform changes and evolution to the brand articulation, creating and evolving brand guidelines, and directing the teams responsible for content collection, creative production and timely delivery of world-class creative and content in each differentiated brand voice for the resorts various go-to-market messages and platform communications, across Paid Media, email, websites, social media, and more. This leader will report directly to the Vice President, Resort Marketing, and will be a member of the brand strategy senior leadership team. The Senior Director will lead a team of marketing professionals overseeing brand strategy, strategic alliances, and both external and internal creative partners to create, produce, version and deliver world-class creative and content to deliver superior brand positioning for specified region. A successful candidate for this position is a natural born brander and storyteller, with experience leveraging guest data and insights to define, position, and articulate major global brands across Vail Resorts portfolio to deliver superior brand positioning. Job_Responsibilities * Develop and direct the resorts annual brand strategy, positioning & attributes in the global marketplace. * Lead the teams to develop and execute the annual comprehensive strategic brand plans for resorts & region. * Develop and direct Brand Directors with direct oversight over the following Resort brands * Leverage guest data and insights to inform evolution to brand positioning, annual campaign development, messaging pillars, and creative delivery, with proven ability to measure and test effectiveness in order to continually optimize. * Develop and direct the teams responsible for producing all assets needed for the resorts brand marketing efforts, including, but not limited to, content and creative assets for: advertising, e-commerce, CRM efforts, digital platforms, promotions, collateral, social media, and all other brand communication platforms. * Develop Brand Guidelines to enable resort-based field marketing teams to make the brand become manifest along all guest touchpoints in-resort, including through signature experiences, special events, partner and product activations, signage, training staff in the brand lexicon, and all other aspects of delivering on the resorts brand promise. * Direct, negotiate and manage creative agency partners, contractors, content-producing networks, and other key vendors to deliver creative assets and hold them accountable to delivery timelines and budgets. * Work cross-functionally within the Vail Resorts Marketing, Sales & Communications highly matrixed centralized and field-based team structure to deliver established goals and targets both at the resort and company level. * Demonstrated experience leading teams who produce and deliver world-class emotionally resonant content and creative in an Omni-channel approach. * Develop and work within strategically prioritized budgets with rigorous discipline related to forecasts. * Serve as a key member of the company s Resort Marketing Leadership Team, working closely across geographies with different marketing department leaders to deliver upon company-wide Vail Resorts brand and business goals, projects and initiatives. * Approach & Behavior Cultural Characteristics o Strong learning agility.
