Job description -- Optometric Technician Our Optometry Practice is seeking an eager, quick to learn and friendly candidate to join our team! Our candidate would possess the following qualities: comfort with new technology and acumen on computers, as we operate with Electronic Medical Records, able to enter data/text quickly and accurately, patient focused, work well with others, and excellent customer service skills. The Optometric Technician works among a team of associates to deliver an outstanding patient care experience to everyone who visits the office. Primary job responsibilities as an Optometric Technician include, but are not limited to: -- Greeting patients and escorting to exam/testing rooms -- Review reasons for visit and case history -- Review of medical history (including medications), -- Review of family history -- Prepare examination rooms for Doctors (setting phoropter, cleaning instruments, etc.) -- Administering preliminary tests and/or special tests to patients such as visual acuity testing, color vision and stereopsis testing, lensometry, auto-refraction, iCare tonometry, TearLab tear analysis, InflammaDry, Visual Fields, OCT, ERG/VEP, and Optos digital imaging). Job is full time and salary is commensurate with experience. Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30am- 5:00pm Saturday 8:30am - 1:00pm Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: Less than 1 year Salary: $20 - $22 Hourly Bonus/Commission: Yes
